India Interim
I returned today from a two month break outside of India. I departed for the United States in late August for an extended
backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. I spent a little less than four weeks hiking the AT from
Daleville, VA (close to Roanoke) southbound to Damascus, VA. The 255 mile section hike was rugged and peaceful.
Through my travels to get to and from the trail I was able to attend two Bama football games, enjoy the company
of my family at my cousin Ross's wedding, and visit with some close friends in Damascus.
On the return flight to Bangalore, MB and I vacationed in Paris for a week. Though we were there for five full
days, it felt like only a moment. We saw many sights, enjoyed tons of great food, and met some interesting
people. I certainly could have stayed for several more weeks, there is so much to do and see in Paris.
However not ready I was to leave faded on our approach to Bangalore International Airport. After roaming around
basically homeless for the past couple of months, it really feels good to get back to Bangalore. It feels
like home, and it will be for the rest of our year's stay. I'm glad to be back, but will cherish my
recent adventures forever.
